The premium hatchback was launched earlier this year with subtle styling tweaks but back then a CVT equipped petrol engine was missing. However, post three months Hyundai has made the CVT transmission available in the vehicle.


The facelifted Elite i20 with the CVT gearbox is available in two trims – Magna and Asta. Unlike the pre-facelifted Elite i20, the new one comes powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa engine replacing the 1.4-litre dual VTVT 4-speed AT powertrain. The 1.2-litre petrol unit produces the same 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. In terms of styling and the interior, the Magna and Asta CVT variants are identical to the Magna and Asta MT grades and offer more or less the same features and equipment.
