Toyota has revealed the Corolla Cross SUV for the South East Asian market. The Corolla Cross is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,825 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height. Corolla Cross will be available with two engine options. These include a 1.8-litre petrol unit producing 138 BHP and 175 Nm and a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid producing 168 BHP and 305 Nm. Both engines come with continuously variable transmissions (CVT).

Mercedes-Benz sold 2,948 cars in the first half of 2020. SUVs accounted for 57% of the total vehicles sold during this period. Out of the total vehicles sold in the month of June, 22% were GLS SUVs. The demand for the C-Class, E-Class and GLC was also strong. Mercedes claims that more than 8,000 leads were generated through online sales platforms in the second quarter of this year.

Volkswagen has removed the Polo and Vento TSI editions from the website.

Royal Enfield is offering up to 5 years extended warranty on BS6 models. This includes road side assistance as well.

Audi is planning to launch the Q2 SUV in India sometime in September this year. Internationally, the Audi Q2 is positioned below the Q3 in Audi’s line-up. The SUV is based on the MQB platform.
