Finally the Thar has been revealed and here are some first pics for us to drool!
The all-new Thar images, of course, show a big spike in the quality of interiors and the body design looks too familiar to us ;-).
There are 2 engine options & for the first time, we have a Petrol engine on a THAR. We now have a 2.0L Petrol (150BHP, 320Nm) engine mater to a 6-speed MT & 6-speed AT. The 2.2L Diesel (130bhp, 320Nm) engine comes mated to a 6-speed MT & 6-speed AT. The off-roading capabilities offered include 42-degree approach angle, 37-degree departure angle, 27-degree remover angle – 226mm ground clearance, 650mm water wading capacity
Thar now comes with an all-new Interior layout with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with “off-road gauges – inclinometer etc”, power windows, cruise control, steering audio controls, mechanical locking diff at the rear, brake locking diff on the front axle, 18-inch wheels, fully washable interior, folding rear seats. Also two seating options – 4 front-facing seats & 2+4 side-facing seats
The 2020 Mahindra Thar will be launched in the AX and LX series. The AX Series will only be available with manual transmission on both the petrol and diesel, while the LX Series will see the diesel get a manual and automatic transmission but the petrol will only be available with an automatic.
