Maruti Suzuki India has reshuffled key positions across functions of the company, few people familiar with the development said.

The carmaker, which aims to sell 2.5 million cars in India by 2020-23, up from 1.6 million units in FY18, has promoted two Senior Vice Presidents to Executive Director level, confirmed the sources on condition of anonymity.

An internal notification was released by the company regarding the same, the sources said.

Maruti Suzuki, however, declined to comment on the organisational restructuring.

The former head of Nexa, a premium dealership network for select models, Partho Banerjee has climbed the ladder to Executive Director, Service.

Besides, Tarun Garg who was Senior Vice Vice President and Head of Marketing at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is now Executive Director, Sales & Marketing.

Garg would be also responsible for the logistic division because of his rich experience in logistics. He started his career with logistics.

Two years back on May 28, 2016, both Banerjee and Tarun became Senior Vice Presidents among six Vice presidents appointed by the company at the same time.

In other key changes, Aditya Aggarwal is now head of True Value (carmaker’s pre-owned dealership network) and Ankur Mittal moved to Dealer Development.

Furthermore, Sanjeev Handa, Vice President-Marketing has moved to Corporate Communication department and DD goyal has been promoted as EO who was Senior Vice President of Finance Department.
