Toyota Kirloskar Motors has recalled 2,628 units of their Innova Crysta and Fortuner offerings in India. The recall of both models is due to a faulty fuel hose connection.

All Toyota Innova Crysta models manufactured between 16th July 2016 and 22nd March 2018 have been recalled. Similarly, all Fortuner models produced between 6th October 2016 and 22nd March 2018 have also been recalled.

According to the statement by SIAM, “Fuel return hose has been wrongly connected to canister hose. This will result in fuel leakage from Canister whenever fuel tank is completely filled.”

The statement by Toyota Kirloskar Motors also stated that the recall will affect only the petrol variants of both their offerings.
